Trustee

We are seeking to appoint new Trustees to join our Board.

HCC is a long-established charity providing affordable, high-quality counselling to individuals who might otherwise struggle to access mental health support. The role of the Board is to provide thoughtful oversight and ensure the organisation continues to serve its community with care and integrity.
As a Trustee, you will help guide the strategic direction of the charity, support good governance, and ensure that HCC continues to operate sustainably while staying true to its values and purpose.
We are particularly keen to hear from people outside the organisation who bring experience in areas such as:
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing or communications
  • External engagement or strategic development
That said, we welcome expressions of interest from people of any background who have a genuine interest in mental health and want to contribute at board level.
Previous experience as a trustee or involvement in charity governance is helpful but not essential. We are open to supporting people taking on their first trustee role, as well as those with existing board experience.
Trustees are expected to contribute to board meetings, engage thoughtfully with the organisation’s work, and act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a Trustee at HCC, or would like an informal discussion about what the role involves, please contact admin@highgatecounselling.org.uk
