About the Certificate
SEPTEMBER 2025-JUNE 2026
This is a part-time training course and runs from September 2025 until July 2026. Face-to-face training takes place on Tuesday evenings at North Bank, Pages Lane, London N10 1PP from 6.30pm to 10pm. Online training takes place via Zoom on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 10pm. Both courses follow the same curriculum.
This training provides students with the core skills to understand and apply the basic concepts of counselling together with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate a helping relationship. The course is open to those working in a voluntary or professional capacity, for those wishing to develop their communication skills in a variety of settings and for those taking their first steps into counselling perhaps with the view of becoming a counsellor. Please note this is a Certificate in Counselling (level 3 equivalent) and is not a Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling or Psychodynamic Skills.
Trainees successfully completing the course may wish to further their studies with us by participating in our Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, which is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This will start in September 2025.
