Certificate in Counselling Skills

During the current pandemic, we would prefer emailed applications. In the event there continues to be Government restrictions in place in September, training will be delivered via a remote platform until we are able to return to face-to-face training.

We are now accepting applications for our Certificate in Counselling Skills starting in September 2021. The fee for the course is £1,850.00. There are number of ways in which this fee can paid – please see the course outline for further details. The closing date for applications is 30th April 2021.

This training aims to provide students with the core skills to understand and apply the basic concepts of counselling together with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate a helping relationship. The course is open to those working in a voluntary or professional capacity or for those wishing to develop their communication skills in a variety of settings. Please note this is a Certificate in Counselling Skills and is not a Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling or Psychodynamic Skills.

This is a part-time course and runs from September 2021 until July 2022. The course is held on Tuesday evenings at North Bank, Pages Lane, London N10 1PP from 7pm to 10pm.

Trainees successfully completing the course may wish to further their studies with us by participating in the Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (a BACP accredited course), which is also provided by Highgate Counselling Centre.
